TikTok Workout Importer

RepExtract is an iPhone fitness app that imports TikTok workout videos and converts them into structured workouts: every exercise, with sets, reps, rest periods, form tips, and a short clip of each move. Share a video from TikTok, and a minute later you have a plan you can follow and log at the gym.

How does the TikTok importer work?

  1. Share the TikTok to RepExtract. On the TikTok, tap the Share arrow and choose RepExtract from the app row. Or tap Copy link and paste it into the RepExtract app or at repextract.com/extract. Short vm.tiktok.com links work.
  2. RepExtract reads the video. It watches the movements, reads the on-screen text and the caption, and transcribes the trainer's voice, then combines all four to identify every exercise. Most videos take well under a minute.
  3. Save the structured workout. Review the exercises, sets, reps, rest, and clips, then save. Name the workout and tag the body parts it trains; it lands on your Want to Do shelf, ready to follow and log at the gym.

Nothing is downloaded. The workout stays credited to the creator, with their name and a link back to the original video on every workout.

Which TikTok links can be imported?

What happens after the import?

It goes into a library built for training

Every imported workout sits on a status shelf (Want to Do, Done, Did Not Finish) and on the body-part shelves you tag, and you can filter by both at once. Custom shelves can be added from your library on the web. For the full system, see how to organize your saved workout reels.

You follow it and log it

Start a session from any workout, work through the exercises with the clip of each move beside its sets and reps, and log your sets, reps, and weight. Finishing moves the workout to Done.

Others can find it

Imported workouts appear in the community Discover feed, credited to the creator, where friends can save them and leave reviews. Creators can ask for any workout to be removed through the content policy.

Guides

Frequently asked questions

What is the TikTok workout importer?

It's how RepExtract turns a TikTok workout video into a structured workout. You share the video to the RepExtract iPhone app (or paste the link on the web), and RepExtract returns every exercise in order with sets, reps, rest periods, form tips, and a short clip of each move, saved to a library you can train from.

Which TikTok links work?

Public TikTok videos, using either the full link (tiktok.com/@creator/video/…) or the short vm.tiktok.com link that TikTok's Copy link button produces. Photo-mode posts and videos from private accounts can't be imported.

Does RepExtract download the TikTok video?

No. RepExtract doesn't download or export the creator's original media. It reads a public video and produces structured workout data — exercise names, sets, reps, rest, and short clips — credited to the creator with a link back to the original video and their profile. Creators can request removal of any workout through the content policy.

How does it find the exercises?

From four sources at once: the movements visible in the footage, the on-screen text, the caption, and the trainer's spoken cues. When the caption lists the workout, it's treated as the authority on exercise names and rep schemes, so a silent TikTok with the program in the caption still imports completely.

Do I need the app, or does it work on the web?

Both. The iPhone app adds the share-sheet shortcut from TikTok and lets you log sets during a session. The web tool at repextract.com/extract accepts a pasted link in any browser and saves to the same library. Both need a free RepExtract account.

How is this different from saving a TikTok to Favorites?

Favorites keep a bookmark to the video: no exercise list, no sets or reps, and the save disappears if the creator deletes the video. RepExtract keeps the workout itself, so you can read it at the gym, log your sets, and keep it even if the original is removed.

Is the TikTok importer free?

Yes. The free plan includes 3 imports (extractions) per month, and Premium is unlimited. See repextract.com/pricing.
